MAE COLORS

MAE COLORS

Mae Colors, what do they mean? You may have noticed that we have a ton of coffee options, with different labels and colors and you may ask yourself, what do they represent?

They do in fact, mean something. But rest assured, we are here to help you find the best cup of coffee for your style!

The brown, blue and red represent our blends. If you happen to see the word "blend” within the name of the coffee, it means that there are two different coffees, roasted separately and evenly distributed throughout each bag. All of our blends are simple, 50/50 blends that represent the season. Nevertheless, they are palatable, tasty and around the board, great offerings. We do our best to choose coffees that are chocolate like, great on espresso, drip or any other brew method, and pair amazing with milk. If you are new to speciality coffee, we always recommend you start with a blend.

What does cream or white labels mean? Well, these are our single origins. These are coming from one single country, and usually a single producer or co-op. These offerings vary from palatable to wild and interesting. Single Origins are great if you want to explore, try new origins, or really get an understanding for a particular coffee process.

Black labels are our decaf offerings. If you want all the coffee goodness and no caffeine, look no further. While we rotate our current decaf offering, it is always a single origin and always amazing! Make sure to keep your eye out for our newest decaf offering, as they do change from origin and process (yes, there are differing ways to decaffeinate your coffee, and they have very different effects on the coffee’s flavor).

Finally, holographic means limited edition! These are rare, unique and absolutely wild offerings. Single origins, yes, but also usually a unique and creative process or variety of coffee that make them so special! If you wanna be adventurous and try something out of your comfort zone, these are for you.
